Interviews
What do you think?
We also want to ask opinions about new types of monitoring for CAH, and to understand experiences in monitoring for this condition.
Would different methods of monitoring be acceptable?
Research has shown that it should be considered when designing, planning and implementing new healthcare interventions (Sekhon, Cartwright et al. 2022).
Healthcare interventions for young people are more likely to be successful if the young people themselves think that they are acceptable. However, research has mostly focused on interventions, rather than monitoring methods, which is what we are looking at here.
Feedback and evaluations from patients has been shown to change practice.
Children and young people should be included in healthcare research and design and closer involvement in opinions through interviews can make interventions meaningful and relevant, and therefore more likely to be acceptable.
We hope to get 12 people to participate in this process, of different ages.
Younger people can be joined by their parent, carer or a friend.
